What is Way of the Knife?

Way of the Knife is Poland's premier tactical training program founded by Dawid Fajer. It focuses on knife combat, weapon retention, and close-contact defensive techniques. The methodology integrates military, special forces, BJJ, and knife fighting systems into a practical, real-world framework. The 2-Day Gunfighter course is conducted in the Way of the Knife spirit.

What is Rogue Methods and how does Warsaw Tactical work with them?

Rogue Methods is an Arizona-based tactical training organization led by Raul Martinez. Warsaw Tactical collaborates with Rogue Methods to integrate American firearms methodology with European combat expertise. This partnership brings proven training systems developed in the US to European practitioners. The curriculum for courses like Dynamic Pistol and Close Contact Gunfighter draws from this collaboration.

What's the course progression at Warsaw Tactical?

Start with Dynamic Pistol (Level 1) to build fundamental pistol skills. Progress to Pistol CQB (Level 2) for cover tactics, room clearing, and killhouse scenarios. Close Contact Gunfighter (Level 3) integrates empty-hand combat with firearms. The 2-Day Gunfighter is a standalone intensive combining knife, baton, and handgun work.

What happens after I complete a course?

You receive an official certificate of completion with your name. You also get direct access to our closed WhatsApp group where students share drills, ask questions, and organize meetups. While supplies last, you'll receive limited WT x WOTK merch. You're joining a community, not just taking a course.

What is force-on-force training and simunition?

Force-on-force training puts you in realistic scenarios against another person using FX training ammunition (simunition)—marking rounds that allow safe person-to-person engagement. You wear full protective gear and experience stress-based decision making. This is included in Dynamic Pistol, Pistol CQB, and Close Contact Gunfighter courses.

How many rounds will I fire during training?

Round counts vary by course: Dynamic Pistol (Level 1) includes 250 rounds live + 50 FX. Pistol CQB (Level 2) includes 250 rounds live + 50 FX. Close Contact Gunfighter (Level 3) includes 100 rounds live + 50 FX. 2-Day Gunfighter includes 500 rounds total across two days.

What firearms and equipment are provided?

All courses include Glock 17/19 pistol, holster, ammunition, and instruction. You only need to bring eye and ear protection, appropriate training clothing, and a neck buff/gaiter for protection. Level 3 and 2-Day Gunfighter courses also require a mouthguard.

What languages are courses taught in?

Dawid instructs in English (professional level) and Polish (native). All courses can be conducted in either language based on participant needs.

Do I need to stay overnight in Warsaw?

Most participants fly in, train, and fly out the same day. For 2-day courses or if you'd like to explore Warsaw, we can recommend great places to stay in the city center.
